My first rule for being a husband is to make my wife laugh or smile everyday.
Simple as that. If I can make her smile or laugh by acting like a complete fool, I don't care. As long as she laughs. I will say the most idiotic things just to see her smile. That makes me feel good. Like I did my job. If I can't make her smile, then I failed that day. . Some days it's tougher but I do succeed.
As gross as it sounds, a simple fart will make her laugh. And she doesn't make me feel like a pig when I do it. But, it's what gets her laughing and smiling. That's what really counts.
So, can you make your wife laugh or smile everyday?
Give it a try and see how gratifying it can be.
For the husbands who just don't get it and need a little advice for a happier marriage.

Working husband
When I started writing this blog I wasn't working, so I was sitting at home doing nothing, but I was doing most of the housework. As I should have been.
Now I have a full time job. Most husbands would think that now it's time to even out the work load around the house. I say...NO. I'm still doing 90% of the chores and have no problem with it.
Just because we're both working, it doesn't mean that I get to slack off at home. My wife works 2 jobs and I only have 1. The fair thing to do is to keep doing what I have been. I have my days when I'm completely exhausted from work and want nothing more than to sit around and do nothing, and I do just that. However, the next day I get the chores done. But it's the least I can do for my wife.
We also got a PS3 for our kids on Christmas, so does this mean I get to come home from work and play video games all night? NO!! It means that once the chores are done, I get to sit down and relax and hang out with my wife. I'm not big on video games anyway.
So what am I trying to say here? Just because we are both working it doesn't mean I get to take it easy at home. The dishes still need to be done and the garbage needs to be taken out and the laundry is piling up. I don't expect my wife to do all the work at home ( and neither does she!!).
I have been very lucky to find a women like her and she deserves to come home and relax when she gets the time.
Husbands now days have it way too good. Wives are working and some of us get to stay at home ( a lot of guys are lazy) and play video games and nap.
For those of you who DO the housework and pamper your working wives...kudos. Treat them as you would want to be treated.
Work or no work, we need to help our wives out and pitch in a helping hand.
Love your wife, do the dishes!!!
